Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
An exciting opportunity is available for a dedicated Special Education Teacher to work full-time in an elementary preschool setting. This role involves providing specialized educational services to young learners in a classroom environment, supporting their developmental and academic growth through tailored lesson plans and individualized education programs (IEPs).
Location: Arvada, CO
Duration: Contract through January 5 to April 24, 2026
Setting: Onsite at a preschool within an elementary school environment
Caseload: Approximately 18 students in morning and afternoon preschool classrooms, with 9 to 11 students receiving Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE) services
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement lesson plans that address the diverse needs of students in both AM and PM preschool classrooms
- Manage and maintain individual IEPs, ensuring compliance with Colorado state requirements
- Provide ECSE services to a caseload of 9 to 11 students, adapting instruction to meet developmental and educational goals
- Collaborate with school staff and families to support student progress and well-being
Qualifications:
- Current ECSE Colorado teaching license required
- Demonstrated proficiency in both Spanish and English for effective communication with students and families
- Familiarity with Colorado IEP forms and procedures
- Minimum of 2 years classroom teaching experience in special education
- Strong organizational and case management skills
