Job Title: Hardware Engineer – Automotive Infotainment
Location: Novi, MI
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Hardware Engineer with strong expertise in automotive infotainment systems and connectivity. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in hardware design, development, validation, and testing of automotive ECUs, along with excellent communication and customer interaction skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and test automotive hardware systems, particularly infotainment and connectivity ECUs
- Perform hardware validation, DV testing, and EMI/EMC testing
- Prepare and execute hardware test plans and generate detailed test reports
- Use laboratory equipment such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, thermal chambers, and related tools
- Support root cause analysis and troubleshooting of hardware issues
- Participate in DFMEA and DRBFM activities
- Ensure compliance with Functional Safety (FuSa) requirements
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and interact with customers as needed
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in hardware design, development, and testing
- Strong experience with automotive infotainment systems and connectivity
- Hands-on experience with test equipment (Oscilloscope, Spectrum Analyzer, Thermal Chambers, etc.)
- Experience in EMI/EMC testing and DV testing of automotive ECUs
- Knowledge of DFMEA and DRBFM processes
- Working knowledge of Functional Safety (FuSa) concepts
- Strong communication skills and ability to interact with customers
Preferred Skills
- Experience working in OEM or Tier-1 automotive environments
- Familiarity with automotive standards and compliance requirements
