Bachelor's or Master's degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1+ years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A full-time School Psychologist position is available for a contract lasting the full semester, starting July 21 and ending May 29. This role is based in Tucson, AZ, primarily serving elementary school students. The position offers a standard work schedule from approximately 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, with some flexibility in hours.
Two openings are available, including one bilingual psychologist, providing an excellent opportunity for bilingual professionals to utilize their language skills in a school setting. The role focuses on supporting students through psychological assessments, consultations, and interventions tailored to the elementary level.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations and assessments of students
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Provide counseling and crisis intervention as needed
- Support behavioral interventions and promote a positive school climate
- Maintain accurate records and comply with state and federal guidelines
Qualifications:
- Master's or Doctoral degree in School Psychology
- Eligibility for state certification or licensure as a School Psychologist
- Experience working with elementary-aged children preferred
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Bilingual skills required for one of the positions
