POSITION SUMMARY

As a 24/7 operation, we have openings across all shifts—including standard day shifts, 2nd shift, weekend shifts, and 12-hour shifts. Candidates must be flexible and willing to be assigned to any shift based on operational needs.
Built on a foundation of Respect, Safety, Quality, and Results, we are looking for a skilled and motivated Engineering Liaison to support multiple commodities and airplane programs. We are looking for proactive individuals who can make quick engineering decisions and who want go beyond their desk and into the factory for hands on engineering.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Gains and applies basic knowledge of Aircraft manufacturer design and/or engineering principles to develop interim engineering product/process issues throughout production and/or for technical, operational, and quality problems that the customer cannot resolve.
- With close supervision, provides written dispositions for routine design non-conformances.
- Supports activities to identify deviations that could impact design intent and safety and product/process improvements.
- Represents the engineering community in the build through postproduction environment.
- Suggest through experience basic repairs to engineers to speed up structural repairs.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Minimum Qualifications:
- Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience.
- Ability to read, write, and understand English, including following verbal and written instructions.
Preferred Qualifications:
- In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Requires sitting, standing or walking for extended periods of time. Requires frequent walking, climbing and lifting, bending, reaching to shoulder level, carrying, pushing or pulling weight up to 50 pounds. Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity. Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.
EQUIPMENT OPERATED:
- Digital calipers & micrometers, multimeters, torque wrenches, inspection mirrors & flashlights. ERP systems, Excel for tracking, Microsoft programming for team communications.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- This position involves daily exposure to factory environments, including stairs, trip hazards, high noise areas, chemical hazards (breathing and handling), and entering airplanes during their many stages of build.
OTHER DUTIES:
- May be required to work at both Marana, AZ and Tucson, AZ locations as business needs dictate.
- Additional duties may be assigned at the discretion of department management.
Work Location: Aircraft maintenance hangar, flightline, and Avionics Shop.
Potential Hazards: Exposure to high intensity noise levels, extreme changes in temperature, electrical charges and radar waves, materials identified on Safety Data Sheets, working around moving machinery.
Protective Equipment Required: Goggles, safety glasses, face shields, ear protection, aprons, gloves, safety harnesses, breathing equipment.

- In all cases, the employee must notify his/her supervisor of any actions taken by the employee. The first employee to observe an accident or incident should take immediate action to alert appropriate responders/supervision and to take reasonable steps to prevent further injury, or damage.
