Job Overview:
We are seeking a Project Geotechnical Engineer who will play a key role in managing geotechnical engineering projects ranging from private developments to roadway improvements. This position involves planning and overseeing field investigations, performing geotechnical analyses, developing reports and proposals, and ensuring project quality under the guidance of a Senior Engineer. The ideal candidate is technically strong, organized, and eager to grow in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment, and perform other duties as assigned.
Experience Requirements:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in geotechnical engineering or a related civil engineering discipline
- Experience preparing geotechnical reports, performing soil classification, and conducting field investigations
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
- Experience with Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) projects or similar public infrastructure work
- Familiarity with AutoCAD, gINT, or GeoStudio software
- Experience managing subsurface exploration programs and coordinating field crews
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Florida preferred; Engineer Intern (EI) certification required or ability to obtain within 6 months
- Strong technical writing and communication skills
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving ability
- Positive, professional attitude with an interest in continued learning and growth

Physical Requirements:
- Ability to perform field work including site reconnaissance, hand auger borings, and soil sampling
- Must be able to lift up to 40–50 pounds
- Comfortable working in outdoor environments (heat, uneven terrain, wooded or wet areas)
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or a closely related field
- Master's Degree in Geotechnical Engineering preferred but not required

- Monday- Friday 7:30 am-4:30pm
- Occasional overtime or weekend work may be required based on project schedules
