What You’ll Be Doing
As a HVAC Field Supervisor, you will oversee and manage teams of HVAC Technicians responsible for installing heating and air conditioning systems for residential, commercial, and industrial properties. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and effective operation of HVAC systems while providing exceptional customer service. This position will also be expected to perform installations as needed to support team operations and project deadlines.
Essential Responsibilities include, but may not be limited to:
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of the HVAC teams ensuring timely completion of projects.
- Monitor and inspect HVAC installations and repairs ensure compliance with safety standards, building codes, and regulations.
- Troubleshoot complex HVAC problems and provide guidance and support to technicians in diagnosing and resolving issues.
- Train and mentor HVAC technicians in the field and at our facilities, providing guidance on proper installation techniques, equipment operation, and repair procedures.
- Collaborate with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and provide technical expertise and recommendations.
- Stay updated with industry advancements, new technologies, and best practices in HVAC systems to ensure the team's skills and knowledge are up to date.
- Manage inventory of HVAC equipment, tools, and supplies, ensuring availability for scheduled projects and repairs.
- Prepare and maintain accurate records of work orders, equipment maintenance, and service history.
- In partnership with the Install Coordinator, ensure all jobs have permits prior to the starting of the job.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety regulations, promoting a safe working environment for the team.
Requirements:
What We’re Looking For
Required Skills:
- Must be willing to work hands-on and conduct installations as needed.
- Strong technical knowledge of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems, including installation, repair, and maintenance.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team of HVAC technicians.
- Exceptional problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities to diagnose complex HVAC issues and provide effective solutions.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively communicate with clients, contractors, and team members.
- Proficient in interpreting blueprints, technical manuals, and specifications related to HVAC systems.
- Strong organizational and time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of HVAC software and tools for diagnostics and system analysis.
- Ability to work well under pressure and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong customer service skills to resolve client concerns and provide exceptional service.
Required Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an HVAC technician with at least 10-15 years of experience in commercial and residential HVAC systems.
- Previous experience in a Foreman and/or supervisory role, demonstrating the ability to manage and guide a team of HVAC technicians.
- Knowledge of local building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards.
- Proficient in using HVAC diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Ability to meet the scheduling requirements for residential and commercial projects.
- Ability to field technical questions after hours from technicians in the field.
- Strong physical stamina and ability to work in various weather conditions.
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record pursuant to company policy
- Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
