We're Hiring: Project Manager / Account Manager – Direct Hire

Location: Amityville, NY (On-site Required)
Type: Full-Time | Direct Hire

Our client, a leader in custom retail fixtures and architectural millwork, is looking for a Project Manager / Account Manager to join their growing team. This is a direct hire opportunity for an experienced professional who thrives in a fast-paced, detail-driven environment. This is an on-site role based in Amityville, NY. Remote work is not available.

Position Overview:

We’re seeking a skilled and proactive Project Manager / Account Manager with a strong background in retail fixture manufacturing or architectural millwork. In this cross-functional role, you’ll be the central hub between clients and internal teams—from reviewing RFQs and managing purchase orders to overseeing production and ensuring timely delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as the primary point of contact for key retail clients and project stakeholders

• Review architectural drawings and perform material take-offs for custom casework and fixtures

• Process purchase orders and release orders with accuracy and timeliness

• Oversee multiple custom fabrication projects from concept through delivery

• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and production to meet project goals and budgets

• Manage change orders and scope adjustments as needed

• Monitor project timelines, production schedules, and delivery logistics

• Conduct site visits to client HQs or retail locations as required

• Ensure quality standards are met throughout all phases of production and installation

• Maintain up-to-date project records using ERP or job tracking systems

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum 3 years of experience in project or account management within millwork, woodworking, or retail fixture production

• Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and shop blueprints

• Familiarity with materials and manufacturing processes (wood, metal, acrylic, etc.)

• Strong communication, coordination, and time management skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel and Outlook) and project tracking tools

• Comfortable multitasking in a deadline-driven environment

• Must be able to work on-site daily in Amityville, NY

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience managing custom retail fixture rollout programs

• Working knowledge of manufacturing ERP systems

• Background in material sourcing and vendor coordination
