Core responsibilities

• Site preparation: Cleaning the work area, removing debris, and setting up the job site.
• Material handling: Loading, unloading, and carrying lumber, tools, and other building materials.
• Tool and equipment operation: Using hand and power tools, and assisting with the operation of larger equipment.
• Material preparation: Measuring, cutting, and assembling wood and other materials according to instructions.
• Assisting carpenters: Holding pieces in place during assembly, securing materials, and performing basic repairs.
• Maintenance: Cleaning and maintaining tools and equipment.

Key skills and requirements

• Physical strength and stamina to lift heavy objects and work in demanding conditions.
• Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
• Basic knowledge of hand and power tools.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.
• Willingness to learn and take on new tasks.
• Understanding of safety protocols, including wearing personal protective equipment (PPE).
