Location: North Richland Hills, TX

Salary: $90,000 - $120,000


Position Summary:

Seeking an experienced Purchasing Manager to lead procurement efforts within our Structures Division, which designs and manufactures high-quality steel monopoles for utility and telecommunications applications. This role will be instrumental in managing sourcing, vendor relationships, and inventory strategy for steel, hardware, and related materials critical to metal structures fabrication and finishing.

This is a strategic and hands-on role ideal for someone with deep knowledge of the steel supply chain, strong negotiation skills, and a track record of success using NetSuite ERP to manage purchasing operations.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all procurement activities related to steel structures, including sourcing raw materials, negotiating supplier contracts, and managing vendor performance.
  • Utilize NetSuite ERP to maintain accurate purchase orders, monitor inventory levels, and forecast material needs based on production schedules.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, manufacturing, and finance teams to align procurement activities with project timelines and budgets.
  • Establish and maintain supplier relationships to ensure competitive pricing, quality assurance, and timely delivery of materials.
  • Analyze market trends and material cost fluctuations to inform purchasing decisions and mitigate supply chain risk.
  • Oversee purchasing documentation and compliance with company policies, industry standards (AISC, AWS), and quality expectations.
  • Lead efforts to optimize procurement processes, reduce waste, and improve inventory turnover while ensuring adequate materials are always available for production.
  • Support audit readiness and contribute to continuous improvement in procurement and supply chain practices.

Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of purchasing or supply chain experience, ideally in steel, metal, or industrial manufacturing.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, or related field required.
  • NetSuite ERP experience is preferred, with a strong ability to generate reports, manage purchase orders, and integrate inventory data.
  • Proven track record managing vendor negotiations and complex material sourcing strategies.
  • Solid understanding of steel fabrication components, structural materials, and production workflows.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
  • Strong analytical and organizational abilities with attention to detail.
