Job DescriptionThe Mt Airy Christian Day School is looking for an enthusiastic Pre-K teacher who has a certification in Pre K to 4 th Grade. This person will foster and facilitate the intellectual and social development of the children. Teaching responsibilities includes planning, implementing and assessing lessons. You will teach children with patience and creativity.

Lead Preschool Teacher must:
✓ Be a certified teacher with PreK through 4th grade certification
✓ Have a high school degree or equivalent education
✓ A Bachelor's degree in early childhood education or child development or related field.

✓ Be mentally and physically capable of caring for no more than 10 children alone in a classroom. ✓ Possess a strong work ethic, punctuality, and minimal absences.Have an awareness of young children's unique needs and appropriate expectations of their abilities.

✓ Be able to kneel, bend, squat, lift, push, pull, and carry children up to 70 lbs
✓ Have dependable transportation
✓ Familiar with Keystone Stars
✓ Technology literate

REQUIRED EXPECTATIONS

✓ Ensure the safety and well-being of each child by responding to their emotional, social, and physical needs as well as their educational needs
✓ Utilize developmentally appropriate practice and best practice methods at all times
✓ Be a positive role model for all care giving staff and children
✓ Be customer service orientated and professional
✓ Provide excellent customer service according to the standards of Mt. Airy Christian Day School
