Front Desk / Cashier Job Description at Zio Al’s Pizza & Pasta
As a Front Desk / Cashier, you will be the first point of contact for our guests and play an essential role in ensuring they have a great dining experience. Your primary responsibilities will include:
Key Responsibilities:
- Customer Service: Greet guests warmly, assist with menu inquiries, takeout orders, reservations, and special requests.
- Transaction Processing: Handle cash, credit, and debit card transactions accurately for dine-in, takeout, and delivery orders.
- Order Management: Ensure all customer orders are correctly processed, including those for in-house dining and third-party delivery services.
- Assistance in Food Preparation: Help with food preparation when needed, such as assisting at the cutting table or packaging to-go orders.
- Maintaining Cleanliness: Ensure the cleanliness of the front desk area, tables, floors, bathrooms, and high-traffic spaces throughout the restaurant.
- Addressing Customer Concerns: Resolve guest inquiries or concerns promptly and professionally, escalating issues to management when necessary.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with servers, kitchen staff, and management to ensure smooth service, especially during busy hours.
- Promoting Specials and Events: Communicate daily specials, events, and promotions to guests to enhance their dining experience.
Requirements:
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to manage transactions and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Team player with a focus on delivering excellent service.
- Experience in customer service preferred but not required.
- Flexibility in availability, including evenings and weekends.
