Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A K-12 special education teaching opportunity is available in Anderson, IN, focused on supporting students with severe needs. This contract position offers dedicated educators the chance to work closely with a small caseload, providing individualized instruction and support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver tailored, research-based instruction to a caseload of approximately 10 students with severe disabilities.
- Collaborate with a team of 6 paraprofessionals to implement individualized education programs (IEPs).
- Monitor and document student progress, adapting teaching methods to meet unique learner needs.
- Communicate regularly with parents, guardians, and staff to ensure cohesive support.
- Maintain compliance with all relevant educational regulations and standards.
Desired Qualifications:
- Valid special education teaching certification applicable to K-12 settings.
- Experience working with students who have severe disabilities is highly preferred.
- Strong teamwork and leadership abilities to coordinate with multiple support staff.
- Effective communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
