Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
An elementary school in Lakeville, MN, is seeking a Special Education Teacher to provide resource support for Kindergarten students. This contract position runs for the current school year and offers an opportunity to work in a supportive educational environment, serving a caseload of 15-18 students with both push-in and pull-out services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver special education services tailored to Kindergarten students within an elementary school setting
- Provide both push-in and pull-out instructional support to meet individual student needs
- Collaborate with grade-level teachers and support staff to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate effectively with families and school personnel
- Participate in team meetings and professional development opportunities
Qualifications:
- Valid Minnesota Special Education License
- Experience working with elementary-aged students, particularly in Kindergarten
- Ability to manage a caseload of 15-18 students with diverse learning needs
- Strong communication and collaboration skills within a school community
