Location: Maryland & Virginia | Full-Time | Travel Required

A nationally respected marine contractor with over 45 years of experience is seeking a Traveling Marine Superintendent to lead field operations on shoreline stabilization, marsh creation, and coastal infrastructure projects. Known for its commitment to environmental restoration and engineering excellence, this team delivers resilient solutions that protect communities and restore ecosystems across the Mid-Atlantic.

This role is ideal for a hands-on leader with a strong background in heavy civil construction and a passion for coastal work. You'll be responsible for managing crews, equipment, and logistics across multiple job sites in Maryland and Virginia.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily field operations for marine and shoreline construction projects.
• Supervise crews performing dredging, riprap installation, precast concrete placement, and marsh creation.
• Manage site logistics, materials, and subcontractors.
• Ensure safety, quality, and environmental compliance.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to meet project goals.
• Travel regularly between project sites in Maryland and Virginia.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in heavy civil or marine construction.
• Proven leadership in field supervision and crew management.
• Strong understanding of marine equipment, erosion control, and environmental permitting.
• Ability to read and interpret civil and structural drawings.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• OSHA 30 certification preferred.
• Willingness to travel and work outdoors in varying conditions.
