Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Superintendent to oversee construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and in accordance with quality standards. This role requires strong leadership, communication skills, and a deep understanding of construction processes, particularly in retail.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations on construction sites and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Manage and coordinate subcontractors and construction personnel to ensure timely work completion.
- Monitor project progress and ensure that work is performed according to specifications and quality standards.
- Prepare and maintain project schedules, budgets, and reports to communicate with stakeholders.
- Conduct regular site inspections to identify any issues or delays and implement corrective actions as necessary.
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, and clients to ensure project requirements are met.
- Utilize construction management software such as Procore to track project milestones and documentation.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Superintendent in retail construction, preferably with ground up and renovation projects.
- Familiarity with Procore or similar construction management software.
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, safety regulations, and building codes.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills to manage teams and interact with clients and subcontractors.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
