Job Description
We're looking for a proactive, detail-oriented, and tech-savvy Project Coordinator to join
our small but passionate distribution team. You’ll be responsible for coordinating the
preparation and delivery of digital assets for film releases. This role involves pre-qualifying
assets for compliance, managing the production pipeline, and communicating with
filmmakers and relevant stakeholders. You will serve as the bridge between creative teams,
technical delivery, and platform requirements, ensuring smooth and timely launches.
Responsibilities:
• Receive and ingest digital assets (video, audio, subtitles, artwork, metadata) from content
owner clients
• Organize and version key art (landscape, portrait, square) for storefronts
• Make minor edits or resizing (e.g. cropping, scaling, adding padding) using Photoshop or
similar tools
• Perform basic pre-checks (video/audio quality, spec compliance, naming conventions)
• Flag technical or asset non-compliance issues in respect of various TVOD, AVOD, and SVOD
platforms and communicate with relevant stakeholders/clients for fixes
• Manage internal project deadlines and deliverables for each film or TV series project
• Prepare metadata spreadsheets per platform specifications
• Set ad break and chaptering points according to platform requirements
• Work with delivery partners or upload directly via platform portals ensuring all
specifications are met
• Assist Head of Content Ops with platform updates and re-deliveries as needed
• Organize and archive assets according to company workflows
Qualifications
• 1–3 years of experience in film, TV, or digital media, in distribution or post-production
• Solid understanding of digital delivery specs (video formats, captions, metadata)
• Familiarity with Photoshop or basic image editing tools
• Experience with AWS/S3 Bucket Maintenance/Credentials, Adobe Creative Suite, MediaShuttle, Aspera Faspex
• Knowledge of captioning and subtitling specs
• Familiarity with streaming/VOD platform requirements (YouTube, Roku, iTunes, Amazon, Tubi etc.)
• Comfortable with spreadsheets, cloud storage and project tracking tools, in particular SmartSheet or similar
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines with minimal supervision
• Passion for independent film distribution
This is a hybrid role - in-office 3 days week + 2 days remote. Compensation: $50,000-$60,000
