Data Analyst Specialist


Ranger College is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Data Analyst Specialist. The Data Analyst will provide grant-funded services and activities to the Ranger REACH & Grants Department. A large portion of this position includes taking initiative on specified data collection, analysis, and reporting and dissemination. The individual must be highly familiar with data collection, analysis and creating reports. This is a part-time grant funded position and will end August 31, 2026. Continued renewal beyond this date is contingent upon continued grant awards.

Objectives of this role

  • Create data collection plans based on specific grant needs. Continuously monitor data collection and related grant needs.
  • Create a data analysis plan based on specified grant needs. Regularly analyze data to ensure grant compliance is being carried out.
  • Create regular reports based on grant and departmental needs. Reports must be concise and include all specific data. Reports must be readable by the specified target audience.
  • Other grant related work includes assistance with pantry related needs at all three campus locations: Stephenville, Ranger, and Brownwood.
  • Plan, schedule and lead grant related activities as needed at all three campus locations.
  • Participate in meetings
  • Assist AVP and all team members of Ranger REACH & Grants department as needed.
  • Maintain a knowledge of all Perkins program requirements.
  • Awareness and understanding of Ranger Colleges processes and procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required skills and qualifications

  1. Bachelors degree in a related field
  2. At least one year of experience in data collection and analysis.
  3. Demonstration of desire and ability to work positively and effectively as a team member.

Preferred skills and qualifications

  • Multiple years of experience in data collection and analysis.
  • Masters degree in a related field
  • Experience working on grants
  • Ability to prioritize multi-tasks, demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills

Pay: Pay is hourly and competitive/generous. Number of hours needed are 15-19 per week.
