Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A Special Education Teacher position is available to support a 3rd grade Life Skills student with a homebound caseload. This part-time role requires in-person work at an elementary school in Spring, TX, providing specialized instruction and support aligned with the student's unique educational needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver tailored instruction and interventions focused on life skills development for a 3rd-grade student
- Collaborate directly with the students family to schedule sessions and ensure consistency in learning
- Maintain detailed records of the student's progress and communicate effectively with parents and educational staff
- Implement individualized education plans (IEPs) to meet academic and functional goals
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid certification in Special Education
- Experience working with elementary-aged students, preferably with life skills or homebound settings
- Strong communication skills and ability to coordinate schedules with families and educators
- Proficient in developing and executing individualized instructional strategies
Work Details:
- Location: Onsite, elementary school in Spring, TX
- Duration: Contract through May 22, 2026
- Hours: Part-time, approximately 4 hours per week, to be scheduled between teacher and parent
