Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
An opportunity is available for a Special Education Teacher to support elementary students in an engaging and supportive learning environment. This is a contract position for the upcoming school year, located in Aurora, IL.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to the unique needs of students with disabilities.
- Deliver specialized instruction and support to promote academic and social growth.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to create inclusive educational experiences.
- Conduct ongoing assessments to monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly.
- Maintain detailed records of student performance and communicate regularly with parents and guardians.
Qualifications:
- Valid state certification in Special Education.
- Experience working with elementary-aged students in a special education setting.
- Strong understanding of various disabilities and differentiated instructional strategies.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to foster a positive, nurturing classroom atmosphere.
