The Opportunity
Are you an experienced insurance professional ready to take on more responsibility? We’re looking for a Senior Commercial Lines Account Manager with a strong background in Property & Casualty insurance to join our team. In this role, you’ll lead the management of middle-market accounts, deliver proactive client service, and partner with producers to drive retention and growth.
As a senior-level team member, you’ll play a key role in developing strategy, analyzing complex coverage needs, and negotiating with carriers to secure the best solutions for clients. You’ll manage renewals from start to finish, resolve issues quickly, and build strong relationships that keep clients confident in their coverage. You’ll also serve as a mentor and resource to junior colleagues, helping elevate the entire team.
What You’ll Do
- Take ownership of a book of commercial P&C business, ensuring top-level service and retention.
- Partner with producers to meet sales and growth objectives.
- Provide in-depth coverage analysis, prepare proposals, and negotiate pricing and terms with carriers.
- Manage all aspects of account servicing — policy changes, billing, endorsements, and renewals.
- Stay ahead of industry trends and coverage changes to provide expert guidance.
- Mentor and support junior account managers when needed.
What You Bring
- 7+ years of commercial insurance experience in an agency or brokerage setting.
- 5+ years focused on Property & Casualty account management.
- Active Property & Casualty license (required).
- Strong negotiation and client relationship management skills.
- Expertise in commercial insurance products, markets, and marketing techniques.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred; professional designations (CIC, CPCU, ARM, CRM) a plus.
