Job DescriptionWe are looking for a dedicated Desktop Support Analyst to join our team in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. This long-term contract position offers the opportunity to provide essential technical support to ensure smooth operations within a university environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of desktop hardware, software, and printer troubleshooting, along with experience in network support.
Responsibilities:
• Perform routine checks to ensure printers are online, fully functional, and stocked with paper.
• Troubleshoot printer issues, including network connectivity and operational errors, to minimize downtime.
• Deploy replacement printers and hardware as needed to maintain seamless functionality.
• Manage paper deliveries and shipments on a regular basis to ensure adequate supply.
• Utilize ticketing systems such as Zendesk and Halo to track and resolve technical support requests.
• Support endpoint management tools like BigFix and Jamf Pro to ensure system compliance and performance.
• Assist with desktop imaging and setup for both Windows and Mac OS environments.
• Conduct basic hardware and network troubleshooting to resolve user issues.
• Collaborate with the team to ensure timely support during peak usage periods.
• Provide proactive maintenance and updates for Ricoh printers and other hardware devices.• At least 1 year of experience in desktop support or a related technical role.
• Proficiency in managing and troubleshooting PC desktops and workstations.
• Familiarity with Active Directory for user and device management.
• Experience with Microsoft Windows 10 and Mac OS operating systems.
• Strong knowledge of printer hardware, including Ricoh IMC4500 models.
• Ability to use endpoint management tools such as IBM BigFix and Jamf Pro.
• Competence in network troubleshooting and resolving connectivity issues.
• Experience with ticketing systems like Zendesk or Halo to manage service requests.
