Job DescriptionJob Overview:We are seeking a skilled and experienced Commercial Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial electrical systems, the ability to read and interpret technical drawings, and a commitment to safety and high-quality work. This role involves installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in commercial buildings such as offices, retail spaces, schools, warehouses, and industrial facilities.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in commercial environments according to local and national codes.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams.
  • Plan layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures based on job specifications and local codes.
  • Perform wiring of panels, switchboards, circuit breakers, and transformers.
  • Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits using testing devices to ensure compatibility and safety.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with electrical systems and components.
  • Ensure all work is completed in compliance with relevant codes and regulations.
  • Work independently or as part of a team to complete projects on time and within budget.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and other trades on-site.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Commercial Electrician (3+ years preferred).
  • Valid electrical license/certification [insert state or region-specific requirements].
  • Strong knowledge of commercial electrical systems, tools, and safety procedures.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical diagrams.
  • Proficient in using hand and power tools relevant to the trade.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces, if required.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
