This role is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise reports, dashboards, and data pipelines while partnering closely with clinical leadership, operations, finance, and compliance teams.

The ideal candidate has deep technical expertise in SQL-based analytics, strong healthcare data intuition, and the ability to translate complex data into clear, decision-ready reporting.

Key Responsibilities

Data Analysis & Reporting

  • Design, build, and maintain KPI dashboards and standardized reports supporting hospice operations, clinical quality, compliance, census, revenue, and productivity.
  • Develop and maintain SQL-based reporting solutions using Snowflake, SSRS, and related BI tools.
  • Respond to ad hoc data and reporting requests from executive leadership, clinical teams, finance, and operations.
  • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and timeliness across all reporting outputs.

Data Engineering & ETL

  • Develop and maintain ETL processes and data transfers from source systems (EHR/EMR, billing, payroll, HR, and third-party vendors).
  • Work with structured and semi-structured data using SQL, Snowflake, and other data integration tools.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines, ensuring reliability and performance.

Stakeholder Partnership

  • Collaborate with clinical, operational, and finance leaders to define KPIs and reporting requirements.
  • Translate business needs into technical solutions and explain results in clear, non-technical terms.
  • Support regulatory and audit-related data requests (e.g., CMS, Medicare, quality measures).

Data Governance & Best Practices

  • Document data definitions, business rules, and reporting logic.
  • Promote data governance, security, and HIPAA compliance best practices.
  • Identify opportunities to automate reporting and improve data quality and efficiency.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Healthcare Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of experience in data analytics, reporting, or BI roles (healthcare experience strongly preferred).
  • Advanced proficiency in SQL for querying and data transformation.
  • Hands-on experience with Snowflake or comparable cloud data warehouses.
  • Strong experience with SSRS or similar enterprise reporting tools.
  • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, Power Query, data modeling).
  • Experience with ETL processes, data integration, and data transfer methods.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in hospice, home health, or healthcare analytics.
  • Familiarity with EHR/EMR systems and healthcare data standards.
  • Experience with BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
  • Understanding of healthcare KPIs, CMS reporting, and Medicare reimbursement.
  • Experience working in regulated environments (HIPAA, PHI).
