Job description: CDR General Services is seeking an Excavator Operator to join our team in Port Allen, LA. The ideal candidate will operate excavators equipped with a Vacuum Excavator Attachment. On-site training will be provided, and upon completion, operator must be available to travel nationwide for project assignments.
Responsibilities· Safely operate excavators and the Vacuum Excavator Attachment during project assignments· Follow all site-specific safety procedures and company policies· Conduct basic equipment inspections and perform routine maintenance checks· Assist with setup, operation, and breakdown of equipment on job sites· Collaborate with crew members and supervisors to ensure project completion· Travel to multiple sites across the U.S. as assigned
Requirements· Previous experience operating excavators (up to John Deer 470)· Strong safety awareness and commitment to safe work practices· Willingness and ability to travel nationwide for extended periods· Ability to work long shifts (10–12 hours), 6 days per week· Reliable transportation to report to training site and departure points· Able to lift up to 50 pounds
