Summary: The Senior Cloud Engineer, IT will lead the design and implementation of cloud solutions, providing expertise in architecture and optimization, overseeing projects, and contributing to the development of best practices.
Job Responsibilities
· Design and deploy cloud infrastructure solutions for company projects as needed, ensuring systems are scalable, secure, and highly available.
· Implement automation solutions for repeatable work such as deploying scripts to the workstation environment and making changes to servers.
· Collaborate with security and network teams during implementation and support of cloud solutions.
· Maintain detailed documents and diagrams for all Corporate IT systems and infrastructure across multiple cloud environments.
· Monitor cloud solutions and optimize them for performance and cost efficiency.
Qualifications
· 5+ years of related experience; or 3 years and an advanced degree
· Bachelor’s degree in engineering, technology, physics, math, or another related field or equivalent work experience
· In-depth knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, JAMf).
· Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (e.g. Terraform, CloudFormation).
· Associate-level certification in cloud solutions specific to the position.
· Collaborative problem-solving skills, good attitude and research skills with the willingness to take a variety of approaches
· Excellent documentation skills.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience providing technical input.
· Analytical and time management skills, with the ability to deliver value independently.
· Experience with cost analysis as a part of evaluating cloud projects.
· Experience understanding and utilizing significant amounts of monitoring data from cloud solutions using built-in and third party SIEM tools.
