Overview:
We are seeking a well-rounded, motivated, punctual and extremely dependable technician with 2 years of "verifiable experience" to join our team. Our ideal candidate will be someone who has previously worked for a LEC, cable/satellite, or low voltage company. This position is a customer-facing role responsible for installing, troubleshooting and installing low voltage cabling, various IT and data equipment. A typical day for a technician is never the same. Our technicians are dispatched throughout the week from home to the first job, then return home from the last job. No need to visit the office daily.

Duties
- Pulling, running, terminating and testing CAT6, Coax and Fiber cable.
- Basic Networking Skills (ipconfig, change static addresses, TCP/IP, CMD prompt, etc.
- Basic installation of Network Equipment, Data Racks, Patch Panels.
- Working with deployed networks PRI / SIP/ Cable / Fiber hand offs.
- Installing POS / Kiosk / VoIP / Alarm / Digital Signage / POTS /CCTV.
- Climb ladders, use power tools, and operate man lifts safely.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years experience as a Low Voltage Technician or similar role.
- Minimum 3 years accident free driving record.
- A technical understanding of voice, data, and fiber optic systems.
- Ability to pull cables from ladders or the ground using both hands.
- Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
- Ability to see colors as they exist on cable pairs during termination.
- Ability to work from heights on ladders, reach overhead, stand or kneel for extended periods to pull cable.
- Ability to read blueprints and architectural, mechanical, and electrical documents.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both through written and verbal methods.
- Use hand tools, including punch tools, test equipment, drills and saws.
- Ability to work in various environments – Office, Retail and Construction.
- Must have reliable transportation to and from work during probationary period.
- Must pass a required background check and preemployment drug screening.
- Capable of interfacing with the customer and providing exceptional service.
- Normal vision and normal hearing with or without correction.
- Speak English, Read English, Write English.
