Overview
CTG's long-standing Fortune 500 client of over 15 years has a W2 contract assignment for a Measurements Technician.
Type: Contract
Job Title: Measurements Technician
Location: Corning, NY
Candidates must be able to commute and work onsite in Corning, NY
Pay Rate: Based on experience
Work Hours: M–F, 8am–5pm
Education: AAS preferred in Electronics or other Technology-related field
Description:
Support new product development and enhancements by collecting, analyzing, and reporting test data. Perform routine calibration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of test equipment. Document measurement procedures and collaborate with lab peers to complete projects. Improve measurement techniques for evaluating fiber and related systems.
Requirements:

Basic understanding of lab procedures and technical terminology

Follow defined procedures; propose solutions to routine problems

Work under supervision while maintaining accuracy and confidentiality
Technical Skills:
-
Experience with electronic test equipment (multimeters, oscilloscopes, signal analyzers)

Familiarity with optical and electronic instrumentation
-
Data analysis using Excel or similar software
-
Optical fiber handling experience preferred
-
LabView and/or Visual Basic programming a plus
-
Fluent in metric system
Experience: 0–3 years; new grads considered with relevant skills
