Playfly Sports is looking for a VP, Sales (Paragon Properties) to join our team.

The Vice President of Sales, Paragon Properties will be a strategic and results-driven sales leader, focusing on driving partnerships across a portfolio of elite high school content and events, produced by Paragon Marketing Group. This position will be an outbound sales role, focused on client-direct sales efforts to secure multi-year sponsorships, tapping into local, regional and national budgets, while working collaboratively with key stakeholders across all of Playfly’s business units. The VP will play an integral role in devising and executing a revenue growth strategy, leveraging deep industry knowledge, a strong network, and consultative sales techniques.

WHAT YOU’LL ACCOMPLISH

  • Generate new or incremental revenue to achieve assigned sales target.
  • Cultivate and manage relationships with brands and develop meaningful strategies to bring in new revenue, service and retain that partner
  • Build relationships with the media and sponsorship agencies of brand partners, driving connectivity between the client, agency and property.
  • Ability to sell properties across events, television media, sponsorship, digital media and activation
  • Build, update and be accountable for pipeline reporting, sales materials, and all tracking documents as requested
  • Coordinate activity with other stakeholders within Playfly, including High School Association Properties, Playfly Sports Properties in relevant regions, Playfly Client-Direct Team, and the Playfly Media Sales team, with the sole accountability of revenue generation for the properties including:
    • Go to market strategy
    • Prospect development and tracking
    • Package creation
    • Presenting to clients
    • Revenue tracking
    • Internal Reporting
  • Collaborate with internal teams (Creative, Activation, Insights) to develop and present bespoke partnership solutions
  • Utilizes all available systems and reporting tools to ensure transparency and accountability
  • Other job-related duties as assigned

WHAT YOU’LL BRING

  • Bachelor’s degree required (preference in Sports Media, Communications, Marketing or related fields)
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in sales, marketing or related fields
  • Minimum of 6-8+ years’ experience in business development in a Sponsorship Sales capacity
  • Successful track record as both a sole contributor and a member of broader sales team
  • Experience in College/High School MMR, Team Sponsorship and/or Sports Arena Sales
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the sports industry and sports sponsorship sales including selling television media, social media, on-site activations, events and in-venue branding
  • Strategic thinker with ability to develop relationships with high-level clientele is required
  • Proven track record of innovative strategy development, revenue generation and/or support
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills
  • Computer proficient (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Experience using Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems, Revenue Generation systems, is a plus
  • Actively participate in industry events, networking functions, and client-facing opportunities to enhance visibility and drive business.

TRAVEL, LIFTING, PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • 3 days/week in office
  • May require occasional travel to events, client meetings, etc.

COMPENSATION

The pay range for this role is $150,000 to $180,000. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location. This may be different in other locations due to differences in the cost of labor.
