ADJUNCT INSTRUCTOR FOR PRISON EDUCATION – WILMINGTON COLLEGE
SUMMARY OF POSITION:
The office of Academic Affairs at Wilmington College in Wilmington, OH invites applications for adjunct faculty instructors to teach courses in our Prison Education Program, located in Warren Correctional, Lebanon Correctional and Dayton Correctional Institutions. Most classes are held in the evening between 5 and 8 pm and require a background check and in-prison training before the semester begins. We are seeking instructors qualified to teach courses in:
Math (Algebra, College Algebra, and Basic Math)
Business (Business Law, Marketing Management, Business Statistics, Introduction to Marketing, Introduction to Management)
Accounting and Finance (Financial Accounting, Corporate Finance, Money and Banking)
Peace Studies
Other general education fields (music, visual arts, humanities, social sciences, science)
These courses are in person and require either a Master’s degree in the field of instruction or 18 graduate credit hours in the field of instruction. Classes are in person within a prison setting. Students are incarcerated at the above-mentioned facilities. Training about how to teach in a prison setting will be provided
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Candidates must have a Master’s degree or at least 18 graduate credit hours in the field of instruction.
