We are currently hiring for teaching assistants. Can be flexible with your schedule as we are looking for both part-time and full-time employees! Age groups would be in the infant and toddler classrooms (6 weeks old to 2 1/2 years old).
- Assist the lead teacher in implementing lesson plans and educational activities
- Provide support to students with special needs, ensuring their inclusion and participation in classroom activities
- Help maintain a safe and positive learning environment for all students
- Assist with classroom management, including behavior management and maintaining discipline
- Support students in their academic and social development
- Provide individualized attention and assistance to students as needed
- Collaborate with the lead teacher and other teaching assistants to ensure effective instruction and student engagement
- Assist with the preparation of materials and resources for lessons
```Experience```
- Previous experience working with children, such as nannying or babysitting, is preferred
- Experience working in a classroom setting is a plus, especially in special education or early childhood education
- Familiarity with behavior management techniques and strategies is beneficial
- Knowledge of first aid procedures is desirable
Qualifications:
- A passion for working with children and helping them succeed academically and socially
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Patience, empathy, and the ability to connect with students on an individual level
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
- Flexibility and adaptability to meet the needs of different students and classroom situations
Education:
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required
- Additional coursework or certification in early childhood education or related field is a plus
