About the Role:
We're seeking an IT Helpdesk Technician (Tier 1) to ensure smooth daily operations by providing technical support, managing routine IT tasks, and leveraging strong technical skills with Microsoft Office and internal software tools. This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, adaptable, and passionate about delivering excellent customer service.
You will be part of a team of 3 on the Helpdesk. You will be located in our Fairfield, CT office, supporting that office and the entire company across the country. We are about 300 employees strong.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create, update, and close support tickets with clear documentation.
- Assist users with basic hardware, software, and login issues.
- Collaborate with other departments or team members for complex problem resolution.
- Coordinate with vendors for equipment or service support and repairs.
- Keep users informed about the status of their requests.
- Document troubleshooting steps and solutions for future reference.
- Support onboarding of new users, perform basic system maintenance, and track IT equipment.
Travel: Approximately 10%.
Qualifications:
- Experience:
- 2+ years in a customer service-focused role with strong communication and client-support skills.
- 1+ year in IT Helpdesk or technical support, including troubleshooting hardware, software, and user-access issues. This is a Tier 1 position.
- Financial services experience is a huge plus
