Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A Special Education Teacher opportunity is available for a contract position at a high school located in Youngstown, OH. This role requires a mitment of 20 hours per week throughout the school year.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's unique learning needs.
- Adapting instructional methods and materials to acmodate diverse learning styles and abilities.
- Collaborating with general education teachers, support staff, and families to support student progress.
- Monitoring and documenting student performance, behavior, and growth, providing timely feedback.
- Maintaining pliance with state and federal special education regulations.
- Creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student engagement and confidence.
Desired qualifications and experience:
- Valid state certification in Special Education.
- Experience working with high school students with diverse learning challenges.
