Pettis Search Partners is confidentially retained to identify an experienced Materials Control Supervisor to play a critical leadership role within a high-volume manufacturing operation. This position carries direct responsibility for inventory accuracy, cycle count execution, material reconciliation, and team leadership, and is ideal for a hands-on, detail-driven materials leader who thrives in a high accountability, fast-paced Tier 1 automotive environment.
Responsibilities
• Lead and develop a team responsible for cycle counts and inventory accuracy
• Own cycle count execution, variance resolution, and inventory reconciliation
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies tied to receiving, system issues, or engineering changes
• Support model year changes, launches, balance out activities, and material transitions
• Partner cross-functionally to improve material flow, layout, and inventory controls
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives tied to cost, accuracy, and efficiency
• Ensure audit readiness and compliance with automotive quality standards

Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business, or manufacturing-related discipline
• 3 to 5 years of supervisory experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment
• Automotive Tier 1 supplier experience strongly preferred
• Strong knowledge of cycle counts, inventory controls, and ERP systems
• Familiarity with JIT manufacturing and sequencing operations
• Detail-oriented, data-driven, and comfortable in a fast-paced plant
