Minimum 1+ years Paraprofessional or Special Education experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This opportunity is for a paraprofessional position supporting elementary students in a Minneapolis-based school. The role involves working Monday through Friday for approximately 32.5 hours per week during the school year, from late November through early June. The paraprofessional will provide essential support to classroom teachers and directly assist students to help ensure a positive and effective learning environment.
Key responsibilities include:
- Assisting teachers with instructional activities tailored to elementary students
- Supporting individual and small group learning under teacher guidance
- Helping manage classroom behavior and routines
- Monitoring student progress and reporting observations
- Providing accommodations and support for diverse learner needs
Qualifications:
- Must be Highly Qualified as defined by one of the following: Passing the Minnesota Board Highly Qualified Paraprofessional Exam Possessing at least 60 college credits (transcripts required)
- Relevant paraprofessional or educational experience preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to fostering a supportive and inclusive classroom environment
Location: Minneapolis, MN (Elementary School setting)
