What You’ll Do

As a Substitute Teacher, you’ll play an essential role in creating stability for students and ensuring learning never stops. You will:

• Guide instruction using lesson plans provided by the teacher

• Maintain a positive, organized, and engaging classroom atmosphere

• Keep students focused, supported, and encouraged to participate

• Supervise throughout the day — in class, during transitions, and at lunch or recess

• Assign and review classwork that meets daily objectives

• Take attendance and report concerns to school staff

• For extended assignments, prepare and deliver your own lessons in line with curriculum goals

What You’ll Bring

We’re looking for dependable, professional educators who can adapt quickly and connect with students.

• Education: Associate's Degree or 60+ Credit Hours

• Preferred: Bachelor’s degree or valid Texas teaching certification

• Experience: 1+ year in a classroom or childcare setting is a plus

• Skills: Strong communication, classroom management, and leadership abilities

• Other: Reliable transportation and consistent attendance

Pay & Schedule

• Compensation: $90–$120 per day (based on education and certification)

• Schedule: Monday through Friday

  • Full Day: 7:00 AM – 4:30 PM

  • Half Day: 7:00 AM – 12:00 PM or 12:00 PM – 4:30 PM
