Job DescriptionSalary:
Job Summary:The Pavilion Activities Director is responsible for the development and implementation of resident activities and assisting the Pavilion Administrator with tasks.
Duties&Responsibilities:
- Interviews residents and families on admission and as needed to obtain relevant activity history and care planning.
- Assigns duties and delegates responsibilities to assistants and volunteers.
- Organizes and carries out individual resident and group activities.
- Participates in Care Plans and Conferences on behalf of residents.
- Organizes events and holidays.
- Schedules monthly activities and distributes resident calendars.
- Orders and maintains supply of recreation equipment.
- Arranges transportation for special programs and group outings.
- Prepares and maintains up-to-date records for each resident.
- Prepares and keeps current record of residents participation in activities.
- Documents quarterly resident participation in activity and social events, significant changes, and yearly assessments.
- Provides input on the residents Minimum Data Set (MDS) assessment.
- Provides Reality Orientation (RO) including verbal and RO boards.
- Decorates the facility for seasonal events and holidays.
- Assists residents that need to be fed at meal times.
- Assists with shopping for personal items for residents.
- Assists with the Resident Council.
- Assists as a backup CNA.
- Performs other job-related duties as requested.
PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Adheres to dress code appearance is neat and clean. Wears identification while on duty.
- Demonstrates dependability by reporting to work on time and as scheduled.
- Completes annual education requirements timely, including all local, state, federal, and accredited body regulations.
- Maintains regulatory requirements, including all local, state, federal, and accredited body regulations.
- Maintains confidentiality at all times.
- Works at maintaining good rapport and a cooperative working relationship with all staff, volunteers, students, patients, residents, affiliates, and visitors.
- Represents the facility in a positive and professional manner.
- Ensures compliance with policies and procedures including but not limited to department operations, fire, safety, and infection control.
- Complies with all organizational policies regarding ethical business practices.
Education/Qualifications/Requirements:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent is preferred but not required.
- Current CNA certification in the State of Georgia.
- Current BLS certification. (Must obtain within 90 days of hire).

Required.
Experience:
- Previous clinical experience is preferred but not required.
