Utah Broadband is one of the fastest growing internet service providers in Utah. The company is looking for a Fiber construction laborer who is dependable, trustworthy and a team player to install fiber to residential customers. Our fiber deployment extends to underground construction as well as aerial construction. Our crews work (4) 10-hour days with Fridays off. Responsibilities
- Working with heavy excavation equipment
- Working with hand tools for digging and backfilling
- Placing in-ground boxes for fiber
- Restoring/repairing landscape
- Setup, preparation, and cleanup of construction sites
- Lift heavy equipment and supplies
- Pulling mule tape, tracer wire, and fiber through conduit
- Possibility of working at heights of 30 feet for aerial construction
- Interacting professionally and positively with customers
Qualifications/Requirements
- Ability to work in a team
- Must have a valid driver license
- Ability to follow construction type drawings a plus
- Class A CDL a plus
- Familiarity with excavation equipment a plus
- Aerial fiber construction experience a plus
