What Our Client Needs:
A Manager, Education and Training to lead and manage the operational, logistical, and day-to-day activities of the organization’s educational training programs. This role will oversee the educational content lifecycle, manage LMS operations, and ensure high-quality delivery of training for members and external audiences.
Who You Are:
You excel in both program and project management and bring outstanding facilitation and presentation skills. You are highly organized, detail-oriented, and skilled at managing multiple priorities simultaneously. You have experience developing technical training materials for audiences ranging from beginner to advanced, and you communicate complex concepts with clarity and confidence.
You are adaptable, quick to learn, and thrive under broad direction. You bring a bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) along with significant experience as a Technical Training Manager or in a similar role. You have expertise in managing and administering learning management systems (LMS) and have at least five years of experience designing and delivering training for external clients or members. You are also well-versed in delivering live instruction across a variety of formats.
What You’ll Do:
You will oversee the full lifecycle of educational content—creating, tracking, updating, and retiring assets—to ensure accuracy, relevance, and effectiveness. You will monitor asset utilization and coordinate scheduled update cycles.
Key responsibilities include:
LMS Management
- Serve as the functional expert for the Learning Management System (LMS)
- Manage learning paths, reporting, assessments, and system optimization
- Align LMS features with user personas and organizational needs
Operational Management of Education & Training Programs
- Manage logistics for all training offerings including scheduling, reporting, store management, escalations, certificates, and recognition programs
- Define and maintain operational processes for enrollment, fulfillment, and change requests
Content Development & Maintenance
- Oversee the development and updating of educational materials
- Manage vendors, storyboarding, SMEs, and project timelines
Content Delivery & Production Support
- Deliver education during live events, webinars, and training sessions
- Serve as a backup producer for live events to ensure smooth execution
Assessments & Certification
- Create assessments and professional designation exams
- Manage the issuance of certificates and digital badges
People Management
- Supervise the Training Specialist, including coaching, development, and performance management
- Foster a collaborative, high-performing team culture
This position requires no travel unless otherwise stated by the client and includes supervisory responsibilities.
What You’ll Need:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Significant experience as a Technical Training Manager or similar role
- 5+ years designing and delivering training programs for external clients or members
- Expertise with LMS platforms, learning paths, reporting, and system administration
- Strong presentation, facilitation, and instructional design skills
- Ability to simplify complex concepts for diverse audiences
- Strong project management and organizational skills
- Experience managing vendors and collaborating with cross-functional teams
