Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A full-time Special Education Teacher position is available for the 2025-2026 school year, supporting K-12 students in resource classrooms. This contract role begins December 8, 2025, and concludes May 21, 2026, with four onsite openings. You will serve one elementary resource classroom and three high school resource classrooms, providing personalized instruction tailored to students with special education needs. The position offers an opportunity to assist with pending licensure while working closely with the school community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction and support in resource classroom settings
- Collaborate with general education teachers to modify curriculum for student needs
- Implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and monitor student progress
- Maintain accurate documentation and communicate with families and team members
- Provide assistance with pending licensure procedures if applicable
Qualifications:
- Active New Mexico Special Education certification or license required
- Experience teaching within K-12 special education settings preferred
- Ability to manage multiple caseloads within elementary and high school levels
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Commitment to student-centered educational practices
