Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This assignment is for a Special Education Teacher position serving students in grades PreK-5 or PreK-12 at an elementary school located in Bessemer, AL. The role is full-time, onsite, and runs through the 20252026 school year.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education certification for PreK-5 or PreK-12
- Experience working with diverse learners in a K-12 setting
- Strong munication and classroom management skills
- Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized instruction and support to students with special needs
- Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and families to meet student goals
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment
Location:
- Onsite at an elementary school in Bessemer, Alabama
Hours:
- Approximately 37.5 hours per week
