Job Description
A multi-state, full-service engineering and design firm is seeking a licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) to lead and grow its Capital Improvement Program (CIP) practice within Water Resources. This hands-on, client-facing role combines technical leadership, team development, and business growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and grow the CIP practice within Water Resources.
- Lead project design, set standards, and ensure quality across all CIP initiatives.
- Mentor and develop staff to ensure technical competence and proficiency.
- Manage project budgets, schedules, and resources effectively.
- Build and maintain client relationships, including pursuing grant and alternative funding opportunities.
- Support business development efforts through proposals, marketing, and strategic initiatives.
- Monitor project performance and report status, profitability, and staffing metrics to leadership.
Qualifications:
- B.S. in Civil Engineering (ABET-accredited).
- Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.).
- 10+ years of related engineering experience, including project management.
- Strong technical expertise in stormwater and civil engineering design.
- Demonstrated leadership and team development skills.
- Proven ability to manage budgets, project profitability, and client relationships.
- Experience with strategic planning and business development initiatives.
