Job Title: Sr. Civil Project Manager
Location: Abilene, TX
Salary: $150,000 – $170,000 per year
Per Diem: $115/day (7 days a week)
Employment Type: Full-Time
About the Role:
We are actively seeking a Senior Civil Project Manager to lead complex civil construction projects in Abilene, TX. This role is responsible for the full project lifecycle—from pre-construction planning through closeout—ensuring that scope, schedule, and budget objectives are achieved. The Sr. PM will serve as the primary liaison between clients, engineers, field staff, and subcontractors, overseeing technical, financial, and administrative aspects of project delivery.
Key Responsibilities:

Manage all phases of civil construction projects, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, procurement, and execution.

Coordinate closely with superintendents, subcontractors, engineers, and clients to align on scope and ensure timely delivery.

Lead the development of project schedules and track progress against key milestones.

Review and interpret engineering plans, contracts, and specifications to ensure accuracy and constructability.

Monitor and control project costs, prepare forecasts, and implement corrective actions when necessary.

Oversee change management, RFIs, submittals, and other project documentation.

Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards.

Conduct regular site visits, project meetings, and reporting to stakeholders.

Mentor project engineers and junior staff; foster a culture of accountability and collaboration.
Qualifications:

10+ years of civil construction experience, with at least 5 years in a project management role.

Strong background in heavy civil projects including site development, utilities, roadways, and concrete structures.

Proven ability to manage multi-million-dollar projects with competing deadlines.

Proficient in project management software (e.g., Procore, MS Project, P6, or similar).

Exceptional leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.

Ability to travel to and remain on-site in Abilene, TX, as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.

OSHA 30 certification or equivalent.

Experience with public infrastructure or TxDOT projects is a plus.
