Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This position offers an opportunity to support middle school students with diverse learning needs in a resource room setting within a Phoenix, AZ school. The role is a contract position for the next school year with training starting July 22nd. Hours are Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized instruction and support to middle school students with special education needs
- Manage and deliver individualized education programs (IEPs) in the resource room
- Collaborate with general education teachers, staff, and families to ensure student success
- Maintain accurate records and document student progress
- Participate in professional development and training sessions beginning July 22nd
Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification
- Experience working with middle school students in a resource setting preferred
- Strong understanding of IEPs and special education laws
- Ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, and educational teams
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment
