We are seeking a Guest Services Associate to become a part of our Team! You are the first and last face our guests will encounter. If you want to be part of an amazing change, submit your application to join us in renovating our hotel from the inside out.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Accomodate patrons in all types of situations effectively and efficiently
- Register guests, assign room, and familiarize with hotel amenities
- Prepare and serve continental breakfast for up to 300 guests
- Make and confirm phone and online reservations
- Respond to guest needs, requests, and complaints
- Collect payment from departing guests and new reservations
- Keep accurate records of occupied and unavailable rooms and guests
- Communicate pertinent guest and property information shift-to-shift and departments
- Treat each guest with respect and dignity
- Attend to VIP and business guests
- Maintain the privacy and confidentially of each patron
- Participate in the upkeep and cleanliness of common and work areas
- Assist other hotel staff or departments
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Flexible schedule, availibility, timeliness and on time are mandatory
- Front desk, hospitality, and/or customer service experience a plus
- Food service and basic food preperation experience preferred
- Professional appearance and attire
- Ability to build and maintain rapport with guests
- Strong organizational and listening skills
- Positive phone presence
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Basic computer and typing skills
- Detail oriented
- Ability to multi-task effectively
- Willing and able to be versitile in roles and responsibilties
- Capacity to listen. respond, and relate before reacting to a situation
- Capability to achieve conflict resolution in a tactful manner
- Skills and ability to deescalate potentially challenging situations
- Pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check
