AWK Consulting Engineers, Inc. is a leading civil and environmental engineering firm headquartered in Pittsburgh, PA. We specialize in transportation, infrastructure, and environmental projects throughout the state. We are currently seeking experienced Geotechnical/Environmental Drillers to join our growing field team.
This is a great opportunity for individuals who take pride in their work, value safety, and enjoy hands-on field work across multiple project sites.
Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain geotechnical and environmental drilling rigs and related support equipment
- Collect soil, rock, and groundwater samples for subsurface investigations
- Ensure proper documentation and chain of custody for samples
- Adhere to company and client safety standards
- Perform routine maintenance on drilling rigs and vehicles
- Travel to various job sites throughout Pennsylvania
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Geotechnical or Environmental Driller (preferred)
- CDL Class A or B preferred (or willingness to obtain)
- Must be able to travel for multi-day projects within Pennsylvania
- Strong attention to detail and safety protocols
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Reliable transportation to the Pittsburgh office
