A school psychologist opportunity is available for the 2025-2026 academic year at a K-12 school located in Bessemer, AL. The position spans from August 7, 2025, through May 22, 2026, providing essential support across a network of schools within the district. This contract role plays a vital role in promoting the academic, social, and emotional well-being of students through targeted psychological services.
Responsibilities include:
- Conducting assessments and evaluations to identify student needs
- Developing and implementing individualized intervention plans
- Collaborating with educators, families, and staff to support student success
- Managing a caseload averaging 10-15 students, with variations depending on referral volume
- Providing consultation and guidance to school personnel regarding student behavior and learning
Qualifications:
- Active Alabama license as a school psychologist is required
