ProCare Therapy is seeking full-time Special Education Teachers for multiple openings (12 total) across Kansas. These roles offer the opportunity to support students in K12 settings while working alongside compassionate, student-centered teams dedicated to growth and inclusion.

Grade Levels: K12
Classroom Settings: Mix of Resource and Self-Contained environments
Caseload Sizes: Range between 818 students per teacher
Program Types:

  • Life Skills / SAILS (Structured Autism and Intensive Learning Support)
  • Medically Fragile classrooms
  • Behavior Support Classrooms (BSC)
  • Structured Learning Classrooms (SLC)

As a Special Education Teacher, youll collaborate closely with general education staff, related service providers, and families to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) that meet each students unique learning needs.Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver specialized instruction in both resource and self-contained classroom settings
  • Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs and behavior intervention plans (BIPs)
  • Differentiate instruction to accommodate diverse abilities and learning styles
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and administrators
  • Manage and document student progress toward academic and functional goals
  • Support students in developing social, emotional, and independent living skills
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors or masters degree in special education (or related field)
  • Active Kansas Special Education license (or eligibility to obtain one)
  • Experience with resources and self-contained classrooms preferred
  • Strong understanding of IEPs, data collection, and compliance procedures
  • Collaborative mindset and commitment to student-centered education
