Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Deaf Education, active DHH teaching certification, and 1+ years Teacher of the Deaf / Hard of Hearing experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
An opportunity is available for two full-time Teachers of the Deaf / Hard of Hearing (DHH) to serve a diverse caseload across grades K-12. This position is based in a school setting located in Greensburg, Pennsylvania, operating within Fayette County for the 2025/2026 school year. The contract runs from ASAP through June 16, 2026, working 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized instruction and support to students who are deaf or hard of hearing across multiple grade levels.
- Develop and implement individualized education programs tailored to students unique communication and learning needs.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, families, and related service providers to promote inclusive educational experiences.
- Utilize appropriate hearing assistive technologies and instructional strategies to enhance learning outcomes.
- Monitor and assess student progress regularly, adapting instruction as needed.
- Maintain compliance with state and federal guidelines regarding special education services.
Qualifications:
- Active Teacher of the Deaf / Hard of Hearing (DHH) license.
- Current Pennsylvania teaching license.
- Ability to work onsite exclusively.
- Experience working with K-12 students who are deaf or hard of hearing is preferred.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Location: Greensburg, PA (onsite)
