Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Deaf Education, active DHH teaching certification, and 1+ years Teacher of the Deaf / Hard of Hearing experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

An opportunity is available for two full-time Teachers of the Deaf / Hard of Hearing (DHH) to serve a diverse caseload across grades K-12. This position is based in a school setting located in Greensburg, Pennsylvania, operating within Fayette County for the 2025/2026 school year. The contract runs from ASAP through June 16, 2026, working 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide specialized instruction and support to students who are deaf or hard of hearing across multiple grade levels.
• Develop and implement individualized education programs tailored to students unique communication and learning needs.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, families, and related service providers to promote inclusive educational experiences.
• Utilize appropriate hearing assistive technologies and instructional strategies to enhance learning outcomes.
• Monitor and assess student progress regularly, adapting instruction as needed.
• Maintain compliance with state and federal guidelines regarding special education services.

Qualifications:

• Active Teacher of the Deaf / Hard of Hearing (DHH) license.
• Current Pennsylvania teaching license.
• Ability to work onsite exclusively.
• Experience working with K-12 students who are deaf or hard of hearing is preferred.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Location: Greensburg, PA (onsite)
