Job Title: Technical Training Commodity Manager
Location: Auburn Hills, MI
The Technical Training Commodity Manager is responsible for, but not limited to:
- Define and develop the courseware for our automotive technical curriculum
- Conduct technical training development needs analysis and solution planning meetings
- Provide media selections and alternative training plans based on course criteria
- Interact with engineers, instructors and other subject matter experts to ensure course accuracy and efficacy of activities
- Perform research, including disassembly of actual components/vehicles to gain product knowledge
- Follow specifications and style guide to ensure consistency and quality
- Manage the development process timeline from start of work to handoff
- Manage the development of multiple courses at the same time
- Deliver trainer-the-trainer sessions
- Monitor and regularly update existing content to align with industry and technology changes
Requirements:
- Extensive knowledge of automotive components and systems
- 5+ years’ experience of experience in Automotive Technology
- Ability to physically perform automotive service activities
- Experience with Articulate Storyline, Rise 360 and Adobe Creative Suite (including In-Design) would be a bonus
- Strong communication skills – written and verbal
- Ability to interact effectively with various personality types
- Ability to complete tasks with minimal direction, including self-guided study, to stay current with technology
- Familiarity and ease with office automation programs (Power Point, Excel, Word, etc.)
