CDR General Services is seeking an Aluminum Fitter near Franklin, LA to perform precision aluminum fitting for marine applications. This role requires strong technical skills, blueprint reading ability, and attention to detail to ensure high-quality assembly and compliance with safety standards.Job Details

Job Location: Franklin
Pay Rate: $29 to $33 per hour
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 6:00 A.M. – 5:00 P.M. (40 hours/week)
Potential Overtime: Weekdays and WeekendsKey Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints for aluminum fitting tasks.
- Perform accurate measurements and layout work using a tape measure.
- Identify and report fit-up issues to the supervisor promptly.
- Operate power tools such as grinders, saws, and drills safely.
- Perform minimal aluminum welding as required.
- Maintain consistency and quality in all work with minimal discrepancies.
- Follow all safety protocols and operate equipment in compliance with standards.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and demonstrate strong communication skills.
Qualifications
- 3–5 years of experience in the ship/boat building industry as an aluminum fitter.
- Basic aluminum welding experience.
- Excellent math and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read blueprints accurately.
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs., stand, bend, stoop, squat, kneel, and climb stairs/ladders regularly.
